Crave this weekend!

WE WILL HAVE REMIX Sunday night, yes Crave ends at REMIX so for all of you not coming to crave please come on and hang out with us at REMIX. Josh Wilson and his band will be leading Sunday night and Michael will speak. Make sure and get there this week even if this is your first week to check things out.

We have made it and CRAVE is this weekend. Yes we will load up on vans and roll up to Louisville to experience our first retreat for relevant student ministry! Our team is excited and for all of you going it is going to be amazing. Look for a final detail email this week from our office and get ready for an amazing experience.

REMIX has adopted blood:water mission as a project we care about and support. Basically blood:water digs wells for people in Africa so they can have clean drinking water. Clean drinking water helps stops the spread of disease which magnifies the HIV crisis in Africa. Teens in REMIX have decided to be angry about the things that make God angry and kids dieing of disease passed on by polluted drinking water is not acceptable. If you have money to give to blood:water there will be a table up each week for 2007-2008...1 dollar provides clean drinking water for an African for a YEAR - we can make a difference...go to www.bloodwatermission.com for details about the mission!

CRAVE in 2 weeks!

Just looked at my calendar and I am so shocked to see that we are 2 weeks out from CRAVE, really 2 weeks. In 2 weeks we are going to be spending the weekend in Louisville, taking time to learn what it means to simply CRAVE God more than the other stuff that crowds our life. I hope you have signed up, if not go and take care of it right now. we have 31 student spots filled, only 19 left and we want to fill each one. make sure and get signed up for an incredible weekend. We will be finishing our ANGRY series this weekend...what makes you angry and why can't we push that emotion to do good rather than harm. Make sure you make it to REMIX to see how you can join God's movement in bringing hope to a broken world. make your life count, do not waste you anger on all the American traps out there.

getting angry...

We dove into our new series called ANGRY this week at REMIX. No we are not teaching a self help series on anger...HA! We are just asking ourselves why we get angry over such unimportant things in life. Why are we not angry about the things that God is angry about...injustice, pain, suffering, poverty, sickness, and sin. The anger that God revealed through Jesus was anger that led to action to help others, Jesus never wasted anger on unimportant things. He took action and helped others. Could we changed the pattern of the anger in our life from selfish to positive? Could we make a difference in the world today? Come next week as we continue this journey.

CRAVE registration and info is up on the web and we are ready for you to sign up! On relevantstudents.com the home page has a link to get signed up and get all kinds of info. One weekend to crave God more that anything else, sounds like a plan to me. We can not wait to see what happened Nov. 3-4. We only have 50 spots for teens so GET SIGNED UP ASAP!

Some folks have asked about the podcast...you can get our podcast by going to the itunes store and searching for relevant student ministry...it is there then subscribe to the podcast and download the episodes you want. We are working to perfect the system but it is in process! Right now you have to go get each episode from the store each week, it is not automatically downloading to your account but we are working to fix it!

REMIX is back Oct. 14!

REMIX is BACK ON OCTOBER 14! Yes, at the end of your fall break you need a little push to get you back into the school thing. We can not wait to see you all. It was great to have a break but it will be even better to see all of you back at REMIX.

CRAVE info and registration will be up on the web this week. You will be able to hold your spot right here at www.relevantstudents.com so go ahead and hold your spot. Look for the CRAVE logo on the home page. Get ready to CRAVE God like never before, we at least that is what we are praying for.

ANGRY is our new series and for the next three weeks, we will be challenged to redirect our anger from the stuff that doesn’t really matter to the stuff that does. We will be exploring the things that make God angry, and we will be working on ways to move outside ourselves and begin doing something about bigger problems in the world.

FALL BREAK here in just a few days!

HAVE FUN ON FALL BREAK! Yes we are taking off Oct. 7 so we can give you time to spend with your families! YES...we hope you spend time hanging out with your family, your friends, it is your break and we are going to take a break. The great thing about launching a new ministry and a new gathering like the REMIX is that we get to set the rules, SO we get to give you a break. WE WILL BE BACK OCT. 14 we can not wait to see what God does! Have a great break...
