new year, new stuff...

Well, it is the last day of 2007...the past year has been amazing! We were able to launch relevant student ministry, see GCC move to Rossview High School, get REMIX our student gathering off the ground, partner with St. B Christian so we have a facility to use, we had our first CRAVE retreat (wow that was wild), and so much more. One of my favorite memories of 2007 is that we got to see Lifegroups work. We got to see you connect with an adult and a bunch of your friends each week. We saw you take action and serve others through Lifegroups. It was amazing to see you all connect each week. Thanks to all of you who have been a part of relevant in 2007. God has big plans for 2008! Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas relevant!

Merry Christmas! Last night was our last REMIX of December and it was so great to see all of you there. It is amazing to think that this was the first fall of relevant student ministry and of our gathering (REMIX). It has been so incredible living life with all of you this past semester. Thanks to all the students who are connected and to all the lifegroup coaches who lead our small groups. If you thought Fall was wild you have seen nothing yet. Winter REMIX launches January 13 when you all get back from Christmas break and back to life as normal at school. Our prayer for all of you is that you have an incredible Christmas and that you take time to really celebrate the birth of our Savior and our Hope.

On Dec. 23 we are going to have an incredible service at Grace Community. Make plans for you and your family to come and celebrate Christmas with us at Grace at the 9 or 11 AM service. This is your last chance of 2007 to bring a friend to GCC because we have no service on Dec. 30. Hope to see you Dec. 23!!!!

one more REMIX in Decemeber! (be there!)

yes, it is hard to believe but we we have only one more REMIX for 2007 and that is coming up on Dec. 16. This coming Sunday we get one more chance to gather together so our hope is hat all of you will be there. One more time to connect before Christmas hits and school lets out. We are gonna finish off our Christmas Story series and really try to see how we can live out "Christmas" all year in our normal non-holiday lives. Hope you can connect with us this week - it is going to be amazing week of REMIX so do not miss it and invite one of your friends to come out and connect with us...

It was so amazing last night to get the chance to see 2 students make their faith in Jesus visible through Baptism. Yea we got to see Alexis and Tori get baptized and it is always fun to get you yell and shout to support folks taking that step - I know it is not normal to yell but hey it is much for fun. we are just thrilled we got to be a part of it at REMIX!

Thanks to Matt Blair for leading worship last night...on myspace go look up matt blair music and add him, support him, pray for him. ALSO thanks to all of you who served last Saturday by helping at Grace Moms Day out and babysitting kids who had dads deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. You gave those moms a break and time to shop for Christmas that is such a blessing. Thanks for serving! ALSO for all of you lifegroups we have been asked to let you know there are opening to help Salvation Army by ringing bells outside stores this season. December is here...

Last night was amazing at REMIX for several reasons...we saw a kid drink a whole quart of eggnog! Yes Clark Davis won Eggnog fest and drank an entire quart of eggnog in less that one minute. The real reason REMIX was incredible was just that we all got to be back together to think, sing, worship, and experience community. It is so incredible to see see teens connect each week at REMIX and hope everyone there had an amazing night. This next week A Christmas Story continues and we are gonna look at what life could look like when we are consumed with one purpose in life. Let us know on our myspace what you have done with those puzzle pieces, we want to know. We hope to see you this week (Dec. 9) when we hope to have several our our friends getting baptized. It will be an amazing night and to add to that Matt Blair will be leading with our relevant band. Be there!
