Feb. 3 is REMIX SUPER SUNDAY...

It is wild to think this but here it goes...next Sunday is February 3 and January 2008 is so gone. Where did it go? Well February is here and that means a new series and a wild start to the month. REMIX this week starts at 5 PM and we are throwing a SUPER PARTY for the SUPER GAME that happens on SUPER SUNDAY. (the nfl does not like us to use the name of this game so hey we wont) Hope you will come hang out with us at the party. Lots of free food, the game, madden rolling on massive screens, I am stoked. Come hang out with your friends and enjoy the game. Stay as long as you can, we will be there till the game ends and hey - if your parents want to come along you decide if you will let them. YOUR CHOICE! HA!

This month we launch into a new series called THE GOOD FIGHT. No, we are not talking about wrestling or MMA, we are going to look at why we should fight to have a good relationship with our parents. Why is it so hard to connect? Why is there a divide between us and our parents? For the next month we are going to try to figure some of this out together. ALSO, get ready for some sweet surprises at REMIX this month. See ya there!

last week of WAHT GOES AROUND series...

It has been an incredible January here at relevant. For the past 2 weeks we have had the chance to wrestle with the idea of GRACE. the fact that God has given each of us Grace called us to live a life of Grace and the final week of this series we will wrestle with giving grace to those around us. ow do we carry out giving Grace away? It seems in my life[group] that most of us struggle with giving grace to those we are closest to...our families! Is that not wild, our brother, sister, mom, dad, step mom, step dad, cousin, best friend...when people are close to us we hold them to a higher standard and many time fail to give the Grace God sets out for us away. My Life[group] is going to take the week and try to give away grace to those close to us! Maybe be patient with our parents, our brother, sister, friend at school. Maybe forgive. Maybe give margin. This week we will wrap up this series and discover how we can give away grace.

It is official, as you see on the front page of the site, we are on for our REMIX SUPER SUNDAY. Click on the link for details but we hope you will connect with us for that night. With the big game on Feb. 3 we just thought we would throw a big party. Hope you can make it out and watch the game with us...free food, the game, a few xbox's rolling for Madden! It is going to be a great night, we start at 5 PM so we do not miss the kickoff so make plans to get there a little early!

january is great!

January is great, yea know it is cold but it is a new year and a new start to things around us. We did that new year thing last night at REMIX and it was great to be back together and to see many new faces. Thanks to all of you guys and gals who checked us out for the first time last night. We were thrilled to have you! For all of you remix regulars, welcome back. Our prayer for all of us is that we will not stay stagnant in our faith, that we will continually rethink our perspective on God, life, relationship, and our purpose. Hope this year is huge for all of you as you move forward in your faith.


Do you live a life built around Karma or Grace? We found last night that Jesus modeled a life of Grace. He gave people what they did not deserve, a second chance, forgiveness, hope, encouragement. Do we give those things to the people that surround us or do we live in the YOU DESERVE WHAT YOU GET mode of life. The challenge this week is to look for grace, try to live grace, try to embrace grace. Can not wait to hear how it goes next week at REMIX. Come back for week 2 of the series What Goes Around.

Yes it is official, the first ever REMIX SUPER SUNDAY is here on February 3. One huge football game, lots of food and time to hang out. Time to play Madden on xbox or PS2, how can you beat it. Happy New Year! January is here, you all hit school again this week and REMIX is back this Sunday. We are all getting over a Titan loss in the playoffs but hey, REMIX is back so we can get over our grief together. It has been a good beak but Sunday lots of folks said they were ready to get back into action. We are ready for you and hope you will spread the word to let folks know we are kicking it in gear. 2008 brings all kinds of new possibilities for us to embrace a relevant God who desires to make your life relevant. We start the new year off with a series called WHAT GOES AROUND/ Karma vs. Grace. Make sure and be there and start your REMIX year off...I can not wait to see what God does in all of our lives.

This is the first mention of this but on February 3 you can watch the biggest football game of the year with your parents of with us at REMIX. Yes we are throwing a party for some game that comes on that night. We will release details this week so make plans to watch the game with us at REMIX (the Superbowl, a madden tourney, a chili cook off) It is going to be great watching the Colts win again (can you tell who I am pulling for)
