Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

2012 has been an incredible journey for all of us at Relevant Student Ministry. Thanks to everyone who plugged in and made it amazing. We do what we do so we can see Jesus shape the lives of teens. Watching all of you move forward in your faith has been wild. Thanks for letting us be a part of your life.

We want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We will be back with Mix and Remix on January 9. Until then play lots of video games, watch movies, hang with family, read your bible, and enjoy the BREAK from school!

Dodgeball = Christmas

Christmas time here at Relevant = the annual Dodgeball Tournament! Make sure you come to the YMCA on Dec. 19 at 6:30 for food, fun, and dodgeball with your small group. We are going to party and throw dodgeballs! This is the heart of Christmas and we hope you come out.

Just a reminder that Mix and Remix are taking a Christmas break since all of you have mid-terms to study for. We will back back after Christmas break. 2013 is going to be amazing. Follow us on Facebook to get all the latest info. Merry Christmas!

DODGEBALL is coming!

We just started a new series called Evolve at Relevant and we are trying to help you deal with your parents! Seriously we hope we can help you have a better relationship with mom and dad. We know the relationship is changing and we some ideas of how to make it work a little better. Do not miss the next few weeks as we wrap up 2012!

Every Christmas we celebrate around here by doing one thing...throwing Dodgeballs at each other. make sure you make plans for the Relevant Dodgeball Tournament coming Dec. 19 at the YMCA. it is going to be epic!

Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Throwing Dodgeballs!

Thanks to everyone who came out and experienced Transit and Crave this month. We loved watching teens connect with their small groups on both retreats. We are already planning next year and you will love the experience for sure!

Don't forget that we break for Thanksgiving break. Enjoy the time with your family. We are thankful to be able to serve you!

One last thing, Christmas is right around the corner so do not forget that every year we host a Christmas Dodgeball Tournament! Looks like Dec. 19 is our date and we celebrate the end of mid-terms!

MIX and REMIX off for Halloween

This coming week we are not going to have MIX and REMIX since it falls on Halloween. We know tons of families have stuff going on. Many of our small group leaders have kids also and they have plans that night. We will be back in business in November!

Our final Tailgate stop is this week at Clarksville High vs Kenwood. We will be tailgating from 6-7 that night. Hope to see you at CHS!

Crave and Transit are right around the corner!

We are so excited about Transit (6th-7th graders) and Crave (8th-12th graders) coming up soon. Crave and Transit are both retreats that aim to help small groups connect and grow in their faith. This week we start a new series called Guardrails. This is going to be a great series and a great few weeks to invite your friends to check out Relevant. Praying for all of you this week. See you Wednesday for MIX and REMIX.

Fall Break!

We made it to fall break! It has been an amazing year so far at Relevant Student Ministry and we are so thrilled we have had the chance to connect with so many teens through The Mix and Remix. With fall break we always break so our leaders can have a week with their family and time to catch their breath. Everyone enjoy the break. We will be back October 17 to finish the DEFINE series!

TRANSIT and CRAVE are our fall small group retreats and info and registration for the events are now up here on the website. November will be a month to remember. Make sure you check out both events! We can't wait!

Relevant Tailgate Tour continues!

This week we continue the Relevant Tailgate Tour as we git Clarksville Academy for their homecoming week. We can't wait to hang out grill great food and connect with friends at CA. Here are the next 2 dates for the Tailgate Tour.

October 26 / Clarksville High School 6:30-7:30

our first RELEVANT worship night...

We are really excited about hosting our first Relevant Worship Night on September 22 at our St. B venue at 8PM. That night we are going to set aside time to only do one thing...worship God. One goal aimed taking time to focus. Cameron Gwaltney is a friend of our ministry and his band The Beautiful Refrain is coming into town to lead the night. We have an event on Facebook so make sure and let us know your coming and spread the word about the night.

One reminder...who can you invite this week to check out The Mix or Remix. It matters when you help your friends connect with Relevant because that is just one way you can help them hear about Jesus. Have courage...invite!

New series at Relevant

This week we started a new series here at Relevant called Intersect. The wonder of God is all around us. But sometimes we're too overloaded with answers to see the beautiful mystery behind all of our questions. This series we will be looking to see where God is intersecting with this world and our lives. Every week you can find the talk from the week here on the website under the podcast section! Relevant Tailage Tour starts FRIDAY!

Relevant Tailgate Tour is kicking off this week and we are pumped at seeing a bunch of you at each of our tailgate stops. We will we tailgating at a new school each month. August 31 we start at Rossview High so we hope to see a ton of you out. We will be tailgating from 630-kickoff. Tailgate t-shirts are available for 5 bucks!

This week we also start a new series called Intersect. We are gonna process the the truth of how God chose to intersect our world and our lives. It's gonna be a great series so make sure and invite some of your friends and get ready for a great few weeks at MIX and REMIX.

We are back and better than ever!

Our team is trying to process our first night back at Relevant Student Ministry with The Mix and Remix and we are a little overwhelmed. Night one was amazing. Thanks to everyone who came out to experience the night and meet your new small groups (or large because there are so many of you). Thanks to every parent who made it possible for us to invest in your teen. Thanks to everyone who invited a friend. This year is going to be great!

Parents, we are working on a better parking plan. Look for changes coming this week! We will make the space we have the most effective. Thanks for your patience as we grow and work through these space issues!

MIx and Remix are back August 15

It has been an amazing summer around here at Relevant Student Ministry but we are so excited about getting back to our regular schedule. This week we launch the new semester of Mix and Remix on August 15. Of course the MIX is at 6:30 and REMIX is still at 7:20. This Sunday you can grab a tshirt for the new year and also you can help us out by inviting all your friends to come out and check out what we do. We do what we do around here because we want to create an environment where teens can discover Jesus Christ. We really do believe that Jesus is what is most relevant and will always be relevant. Jesus is what we need even if we don't fully understand that.

Relevant Open House August 8

Summer is almost over so that means that school is right around the corner. We kick of our new semester of Remix and The Mix soon but before we do we have our Relevant Open House for new 6th graders, new freshmen, and new families in our area. On August 8 from 6:30-7:20 at our St. B Venue (280 Dunbar Cave Road) and we hope you will come out. You will get to hear our story and where we are headed as a ministry this year. Mission Trips coming in July...

We were so pumped at how God worked at NEXT and BigStuf camps this summer. It was amazing to watch so many of you let your guard down and allow God to speak into your lives. Thanks for taking time to block out a week to hear from God and connect with your friends at Relevant.

We have 2 mission trips coming up in July and some room left. Serve New Orleans is July 8-13 and for high school students. Serve Chattanooga is July 16-20 and for teens who finished 7th and 8th grade. You can find info about both trips on the website under the EVENTS tab! Have a great summer!

Summer is here!

Summer is here and we are excited about all our camps, mission trips, and Remix United dates. We have been blown away by how God has worked this year and we are pumped about seeing more to come in the summer. The dates are now listed for the REMIX united events here on the website. Make sure and invite your friends to each one.

We will be putting mission trip info up next week so check back here for info about SERVE New Orleans and SERVE Chattanooga. We are excited about serving 2 cities this year!

Spring Break is here and we know you all are pumped about getting out of school. Because so many of you are traveling and out of town we will not have MIX or REMIX this week but we will be back on April 4!

REMIX UNITED is April 4 and for the first time we are at Rossview High School! The event will last from 7-830, open to 6th-12th grade teens, and we are praying everyone of you will invite a friend to be with you. It is going to be an amazing night. So get ready for REMIX UNITED!

This week we finish our series called Lost in Translation and we are going to talk about the word SALVATION. What does that word mean for us in our everyday life nit just at church. See you at MIX and REMIX this week.

MERGE 2012 is HERE!

We have waited, prayed, planned, and prepared and now MERGE 2012 is here. Next weekend we will set aside 3 days to focus on allowing our lives to MERGE with God's desire. This week we start a new series called Lost in Translation. Sometimes we get lost when we hear people talk about words like salvation, redemption, or justification. We hope we can make our faith more clear. If you want to live out your faith you have to understand it. Invite some friends to check it out with you.

The Mix and Remix are back for 2012!

So excited 2012 is here and so pumped about what God is going to do at The Mix and Remix this year. Last night was a great start to the new year and it was so good to see everyone back.
